Agent platform disclosure

Read this before connecting an external AI agent to your Advisors Crypto account. It describes what the agent platform is, how it differs from typical agentic-trading offerings, the risks involved, and your responsibilities as the account holder.

What the agent platform is

The Advisors Crypto agent platform exposes a programmatic interface to a regulated investment policy. Connected AI agents can read account state, validate proposed trades against your Investment Policy Statement (“IPS”), and queue proposed trades for your review. They cannot execute trades. They cannot move funds. They cannot make any irreversible change to your account.

This is materially different from agentic-trading products where an AI agent directly places orders. Under our model, the agent proposes, the policy layer decides whether the proposal fits within your IPS, and you attest before any trade reaches a custodian. The policy is the gate; the human attestation step is the execution authority.

Risk disclosure

Connecting an AI agent to investment activity involves significant risks, even with the safeguards described above. You should understand the following before proceeding:

  • AI agents make mistakes. AI models can misinterpret instructions, act on incomplete or outdated data, produce factually incorrect outputs, or behave in unexpected ways. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any agent output.
  • Proposal quality varies. An agent may propose trades that the policy layer allows but that are inappropriate for your situation. The policy enforces the limits you encoded; it cannot evaluate context the IPS doesn’t describe.
  • You are the executor of record. Every attestation in the Advisors Crypto app is a deliberate decision by you to execute. If you attest without reviewing the proposal, the resulting trade is your decision — not the agent’s.
  • Market risk is unchanged. The policy layer does not protect against losses caused by market movement. Attested trades execute at then-current market prices and are subject to slippage, volatility, and the ordinary risks of investing.
  • Digital-asset risk. Cryptocurrency positions can lose substantial value rapidly. Past performance does not guarantee future results.

Your responsibilities

By minting an agent key and connecting a third-party AI, you agree to:

  • Review every attestation. Read each proposed trade and its rationale before approving. The policy layer ensures proposals fit your IPS; only you can judge whether a specific proposal makes sense for you in the moment.
  • Monitor activity. Periodically review the guardrail audit log at /agent in the Advisors Crypto application to confirm your agent is behaving as intended.
  • Protect your keys. Agent keys grant the scopes you select. Treat them like passwords: never paste them in shared chats, never commit them to source control, never log them. Revoke any key you suspect has been exposed.
  • Choose your AI provider deliberately. Data shared with a third-party AI provider (e.g. Anthropic, OpenAI, the operator of your custom orchestrator) is governed by that provider’s terms and privacy practices, not by ours.
  • Maintain an active IPS. The policy layer requires an active IPS to evaluate proposals. Keep yours current as your circumstances change.

Third-party AI providers

Advisors Crypto does not operate, control, supervise, monitor, recommend, or audit the AI agents you connect. Once data leaves our infrastructure to be processed by a third-party AI provider, it is governed by that provider’s terms, not ours. We do not warrant the security, retention, or use of data by those providers.

Different AI providers handle data differently. Some retain inputs for training; some do not. Review your AI provider’s terms before connecting. Where the choice exists, prefer providers that do not retain prompts and completions and that offer transparent data-handling contracts.

What Advisors Crypto does and does not do

  • We do enforce the policy layer. Every proposal passes through your IPS. Blocked proposals do not become attestation requests. Allowed proposals do not execute until you attest.
  • We do audit every call. Every read, every validation, every proposal — accepted, rejected, blocked — is persisted with attribution and the rule that fired. This is the same audit substrate our SEC registration relies on.
  • We do not select your AI agent. The agent platform is provider-neutral. We do not endorse any particular AI model, vendor, or orchestrator.
  • We do not supervise agent behavior. The policy decides whether a proposal can be queued. It does not evaluate whether a particular agent’s behavior pattern is reasonable. That is your responsibility as the account holder.
  • We do not provide personalized investment advice through the agent platform. Advice delivered by Advisors Crypto outside the platform is governed by our Form ADV and Form CRS. Proposals originated by your AI agent are not Advisors Crypto recommendations.

Acceptance and revocation

You accept this disclosure each time you mint an agent key. You can revoke any key at any time at /agent in the Advisors Crypto application. Revocation is instant — the next call from that key returns 401 immediately. Existing attestation requests proposed by a revoked key remain valid until you accept or reject them; we do not auto-rescind proposals.
